# GROUP BY

SQL "GROUP BY" komutu, veritabanındaki verilerin belirli bir kritere göre gruplandırılmasını sağlar. Bu komut, verilerin analiz edilmesi, özetlemesi ve toplama işlemleri gibi işlemlerde kullanılabilir.

Örnek olarak, aşağıdaki sorguda "customers" tablosundaki müşterilerin şehirlere göre sayıları çekilmektedir:

```sql
SELECT city, COUNT(*)
FROM customers
GROUP BY city;
```

Bu sorguda, "GROUP BY" komutu ile "city" sütunu belirlenir ve veriler bu sütuna göre gruplandırılır. "COUNT(\*)" fonksiyonu ise her bir grup için kayıt sayısını çeker.

Ayrıca, "GROUP BY" komutu ile birlikte diğer fonksiyonlar da kullanılabilir. Örnek olarak, aşağıdaki sorguda "customers" tablosundaki müşterilerin şehirlere göre ortalama yaşları çekilmektedir:

```sql
SELECT city, AVG(age)
FROM customers
GROUP BY city;
```

Bu sorguda, "GROUP BY" komutu ile "city" sütunu belirlenir ve veriler bu sütuna göre gruplandırılır. "AVG(age)" fonksiyonu ise her bir grup için ortalama yaşı çeker.
